Rapid, Acquisition Vehicle Offers Sole Source Options under $4 Million
Washington DC – June 13, 2017 – NextStep Technology, Inc. is pleased to announce its award of the 8(a) STARS II Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). This broad and flexible contract vehicle will make it easy for NextStep’s Defense and Federal customers to exercise rapid contracting actions, including sole source.
STARS II is a pre-competed, small business set-aside, multiple-award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ), 10 year, information technology (IT) contract (five year base, plus one five year option) GS-00Q17-GWD2217. It draws from a large, diverse pool of industry partners. The small businesses on the contract were competitively selected and have been closely vetted by GSA officials to ensure they are qualified and deserve GSA’s “stamp of approval.”
NextStep specializes in delivering custom IT solutions and services. It has significant expertise and proven performance in the areas of: World Leading Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Enterprise Resource Management (ERP), Customer Relationship Management/Help Desk (CRM), and Business Intelligence/Reporting (BI) from SAP (GFEBS, GCSS-Army, LMP, Navy ERP…), Oracle (DEAMS, GCSS-MC, IPPS-A…) and Microsoft (Dynamics, Sharepoint…) along with DoD legacy systems, Business Analytics/Big Data Solutions, Program Management and Customer Support-related Services for new and modernizing IT programs.
Based on Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637 and FAR 19.8), STARS II task orders under the $4 million competitive threshold may be awarded on a sole-source basis (also referred to as a Direct Order). The current STARS II base option can be exercised through August 30, 2021, and order performance may go through August 30, 2024.
